MAP Asset Preservation, LLC Engine & Component Recycling
The sale of engines, APU's, avionics, airframe parts, wheels and brakes as removed from the aircraft during the harvesting process can be designed to achieve four primary objectives:
1.
Generate a profit for the owner.
2.
Cover the cost of disposing of the aircraft.
3.
Environment and recycling considerations.
4.
Clean up the appearance of the airfield.
Timing is important when the sale of parts is considered because the longer they are out of service the greater the los in value. The hours or cycle limiter on the component has a major impact on the value of spare parts.
